A Glo-ing Review
Pizza!
Thank you for all your sweet comments on my BSI: Acorn Squash submission: Acorn Squash & Apple Pizza. They’ve been totally making my day!
Speaking of my pizza, I am currently enjoying the leftovers with a peach. The pizza reheats pretty well, fyi. 😉
Converting Food Weight to Volume
I am making split pea soup in the crock pot today. When it came time to measure out my ingredients, I found a super-cool online resource: an online conversion tool for cooking! They have a huge list of foods to choose from, and will convert weight to volume and vice versa for any of those foods.
For instance, since I don’t have a scale, I wanted to know how many cups of split peas were equivalent to 16 oz:
This is awesome! Check it out!
Glo Bars!
Imagine my excitement when I saw what had arrived while I was in California:
The Glo bars I ordered from Angela! They came with a sweet thank you note and an Operation Beautiful card, too. 🙂
I ordered a 10 bar Variety pack, as well as 10 Renew bars. This morning, I tried the Revive Bar, the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Glo Bar:
Check out the simple ingredients list, from globakery.com:
Ingredients: Oats, organic brown rice syrup, crisp rice cereal, dark chocolate, unsweetened coconut, hulled hemp seed, ground flaxseed, sesame seed, natural peanut butter, pure vanilla extract.
No artificial flavorings or additives here! The bar also provides quite the nutritional punch. Clocking in at 259 calories, over 7 grams of protein, and almost 4 grams of fiber, the Revive Glo Bar is a great bar when you’re on-the-go!
Natural ingredients and impressive nutritional stats are all well and good, but what about the taste? If it doesn’t taste good, you’re not going to want eat this vegan bar, right?
Happily, the Revive Glo Bar tastes wonderful. Chewy and nutty, with just the right amount of crunch and sweetness (hello, rice syrup and dark chocolate!) I loved it!
Wholesome ingredients, healthy, and yummy; what’s not to love?
