I’m Still Alive, Promise!
Sorry I’ve been MIA today. That exam sucked up all of my time! Again, I spent 6 hours at Starbucks studying. I’m not going near Starbucks again for awhile. 🙂
The rest of yesterday’s Green Monster.
- 1/4 c. quinoa
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. 2% milk 😦 (I’m out of skim, and don’t want to buy more since I’ll be gone for a week!)
- 1 apple, chopped, with cinnamon and microwaved 30 seconds
- Almond butter
- Pumpkin butter
It has been far too long since I’ve had this delicious breakfast! Okay, it hasn’t been that long, but I’m completely in love with this breakfast. 🙂
And the usual at Starbucks.
A whole wheat tortilla with hummus, walnuts, spinach and the last of the rutabaga fries.
A granola bar I made last night. My camera apparently ate the picture. 😦 On the bright side, I almost have the dry:wet ingredients ratio down!
Oikos (plain) + raspberries. I put some of the raspberries from our freezer (remember the 11 pints we bought a few weeks back?) in a container, and by the time I was ready to eat them, they were perfectly thawed and juicy. Fresh-picked raspberries that have been frozen are so much better than the bags of frozen berries at the grocery store!
And a little popcorn to hold me over to dinner. I was going to make spaghetti squash, but Kelley suggested getting sushi from the place across the street for our “date night.” I’m not going to turn down a good California roll!
What’s your favorite kind of sushi? I need to branch out more, so I’m taking suggestions!
